Oppression, collapse & The Dreamtime :: a transmission

Video transcript

00:02 Hello beloved, so this video is to share a transmission on oppression, collapse, and the dream time. I want to start this transmission by giving gratitude and honor to the indigenous as peoples of Turtle Island, where I am currently broadcasting and recording this to you.

00:33 I am grateful to all of the various stewards of this land across time. I want to give an honoring and upliftment to the Lakota people and their prophecy of the white buffalo and the White Buffalo Calf Woman.

01:00 And as of the time of my recording of this video, there has been a white buffalo calf born in Yellowstone, and I believe in the National Park itself.

01:19 This happened not long ago, this year, in 2024, this is when I'm speaking to you. and that birth brought forward or brought re-introduced the importance of the white buffalo prophecy of the Lakota, which said that the white buffalo calf woman, a very powerful prophetess and healer who came to the Lakota

02:01 thousands of years ago before all of us were here. She came to them at a time a famine of war and the height of their forgetfulness.

02:14 They had forgotten their ways. They had with the land, with ways of cultivating and being in life force energy.

02:32 And it was bringing through that portal higher and higher and accelerated forms of death in the form of famine and in other forms as well from my understanding.

02:48 And the White Buffalo Calf Woman came to these two hunters who had gone out to go and find food for the people and bring it back and they had to go far far away in order to find the food because there wasn't any around them and this woman came to the hunters one of them was the first hunter was very

03:16 disrespectful to her. And he ended up, as he approached her, you know, he was interested right in her feminine energy as being something that he could dominate.

03:31 And as he came to her, he turned to dust. And the second hunter who came who was approaching her, or as they were approaching each other met her and knew immediately how her power and honored her.

03:53 And she said to him, go and tell your people that I have arrived. And he did not question her. He did not say, well, can you please tell me who you are?

04:06 He did not ask anything of her. He responded and he went to the people and he said that this woman was coming to them and when she came to them she taught them how to return to their ways.

04:24 She taught them what they needed to do to be in a relationship and she said that she would be back again when the earth was at another time of this forgetfulness.

04:39 So when the white buffalo calf was born in Yellowstone earlier this year in indigenous tradition particularly of the Lakota but not only of the Lakota this was both a beautiful sign because it means that spirit is hearing us, and is seeing what is happening during this moment of famine in many places

05:10 . We have several wars going on. We have, within those wars, patricide, femicide, genocide, there are higher rates of suicide.

05:24 and essentially we are at a moment because of oppression, because of the forms of repression that we faced for the last 500-ish years as a result of modern colonization although we can also look back at Rome and the colonization of Rome, which was even before we're talking about the new world, which

05:55 is the world that most of us have some direct relationship to. But all that to say, in this period of colonization, the forms of repression that have been raising and rising and raising and rising throughout this time have put us in accelerated relationship to death and because we haven't been practicing

06:27 the forms of remembrance of our ancestors and the ways that we knew from all of our lineages, the ways that were very natural to us somewhere in our line, the things that you do in order to make sure that ancestors and spirits once they pass, once they transition from the body back to spirit and back

06:56 to another form until they return again, because we are not doing those things in mass numbers, practicing in our remembrance, we are in an accelerated portal of death, and an imbalance portal of death.

07:15 So this shows up in the ways that our politics look, and people have a lot of questions right now, and confusion about why we don't stop mass shootings, Why we don't feed the children, things that seem so sensical and common sense, you know, and the thing about common sense that we are not quite understanding

07:50 I think still is that in order for there to be commonality, there must be community and in order for there to be community, there must be ritual, there must be rights, there must be practices.

08:06 And colonization, one of the highest forms and powers of its oppression has been to cut us off from those traditions with the seduction of and the promise of safety in terms of, you know, your personal safety, your promise of domination, your promise of ownership, your promise of Forbes.

08:47 Excuse me. We spirit is stronger now. I'm feeling that promise of all of these things that really came after there was already a first wave of death and of extreme grief and loss which placed people in mass numbers here in the Americas, and in other places around the world, including Europe, and including

09:27 , including Africa, including, I'm trying to think what it doesn't include. I don't know, but because of that first wave of death that took place, it made us more susceptible to unsafety, of course, and then because of that unsafety, a fear.

10:00 And And so out of the fear, then the seduction and taking what appeared to be medicine but was actually poison of our forgetting, I will forget where I come from, I will come across the waters and do what is asked of me in order to be safe.

10:29 and in order for my family to be safe and then of course beyond the safety you can move into success, you can move into the promise of this particular dream that the colony in general was selling and none of that is the actual dream.

11:05 None of that is the real dream. So we're finding ourselves now in this space of this time of collapse and it's frightening and unsettling as it must be because if you think about this set their colonialism, just the term itself, was about coming in to land, to place, to culture, and people, to settle

11:53 essentially on top of what was already present. And so the unsettling that we are feeling within our bodies and within our culture and the collective consciousness that large is a very necessary part of moving us into a space where there's opening for what we remember and the return to the ways that

12:21 we need in order for us to actually be in a space of true safety and thrive because there is no true safety.

12:35 There's only the possibility of survival inside of a colonial context. There's no thriving there. And it's a misconception that those who have more in terms of material wealth and in terms of access to land and in terms of access to resources, water, food, it's a misconception that they are actually

13:06 doing better because though they may physically not be starving and that's I don't be little people who are starving physically, or people who are unwell physically because of their access to their own resources being cut from them.

13:31 But what I'm speaking to is that the soul and the spirit of people who appear to have more is in a much deeper crisis than make it ever really comprehend if we're not in that space.

13:55 And there's so much that spirit and that soul has to reckon with. And there is no way around waking up.

14:11 It will be something that everyone will have to go through because the collapse has already come and is already taking place.

14:21 So it's simply a physics lesson here that every action has an equal and opposite reaction.

14:32 And what we are experiencing right now is the reaction from the actions that were taken by our ancestors and the actions that were taken by other ancestors, all of which are a part of our human family, that we have worked to do in terms of being in right relationship with those ancestors so that we can

15:10 begin to bring things back into the balance that's needed between the living and the dead and between all the rounds.

15:23 So dream practice, the dream time is opening up inside of collapse, it is something that is more accessible to us in our quote unquote, you know, realize I'll say in the waking state.

15:44 It's more accessible to us because the things that are happening now are things that are kind of feel like a dream, and they feel like a dream because the other aspects of our realms are starting to really bleed and blend and what's going to happen if we get into right relationship, which we can do in

16:15 part through our dream practice, is that that balance will find itself as we practice our remembrance, and we practice also elevating ancestors that need elevation.

16:31 And bringing this work forward is an absolute necessity. It is not a luxury, it is not something that we should only do on weekends or on the side, because the sooner we get to the heart, and when I say that, I mean the heart of the body and also the heart of humanity.

17:04 On the sooner we can end the suffering of this death portal, that is wide wide wide wide open has been for truly a very long time.

17:18 I would say you know certainly since the 1600s but it has accelerated in our lifetime since 2020 and the onset of the coronavirus pandemic we are so that's that's the story I want to begin us with here and offer to you.
